Subbantam Championship Track Meet

I just wanted to give a shout out for my beauties. They competed in their first ever track competition on Saturday. For those of you who are not familiar with track and field, the Subbantam Meet is only for children who are 1 - 8 years old and they compete in a number of races with children in their same age group.

My 4 year old placed 1st in the long jump 5'10" and 3rd in the 50m, 3rd in the 100m, and 7th in the 4x100 relay race.

My 2 year old placed 4th in the 50m and 8th in the 4x100 relay - He would have run in the 100m but he was napping :( (maybe next year).

I am so proud of them. We started 2 months ago toward the end of the season just for fun and my beauties caught on quickly. I must say if you have never seen little kids competing against each other at these ages it is a sight to see. All of the children received a medal or a ribbon based on their placement in the race. The children were so cute and we had a really good time.

I am looking forward to our second year.
